Okay, in terms of money, this one is a no-brainer. I’m all for ordering lunch once in a while, but I’ve noticed a number of co-workers order a salad or sandwich every day. Figure where I work, each day’s lunch costs about $10, with tax and delivery tip. That’s $50 weekly, and $2,600 per year!
Stop the insanity!
I bring my lunch almost every day. I can probably count on one hand how many times I’ve broken down and ordered lunch in the three years I’ve been at my current job. Of course, there were a number of times I went to A&P to grab some sushi, too — but the cost was around $5 (not $10), and I stopped doing that. Instead, I bring dinner leftovers or something else from home.
For instance, today’s lunch is leftover buffalo chicken, which i made into a salad, and some carrot sticks to snack on later. Breakfast was a granola bar and an orange. I’m sure no matter what I bring, it’s infinitely cheaper than buying breakfast/lunch every day.
