Save-the-dates went out!

I didn’t originally plan to send save-the-date cards (or STDs, as my BFF likes to call them), but fiancé’s mom was pretty into them for her family, since the wedding is on a holiday weekend.

So instead of paying $2 each for those magnet-type ones and then another 42 cents each for postage, I took an idea from a friend of mine and used PremiumPostcard.com. I believe it’s a subsidiary of the U.S. Post Office, as I found the link through there. I was able to design my own — clutch — and only had to pay $1.07 each, which included the postage. They’re glossy 4-color postcards, and I have to say, I think they came out swell! I only sent them out to his side of the family, the bridal party and our parents.
