Do-it-yourself card box

It seems silly to rent or buy a card box for the wedding — first of all, who knows if anyone will actually use it. Secondly, with a little fabric and a glue gun, I can make one myself.

So I snagged a sturdy box at work (it was some promotional thing from JCPenney; inside was a bonus green vase — score!) and I stripped it of the silly felted covering on all sides and cleaned out the inside. I then cut a slit in the top to allow cards to be dropped into it.

I’m waiting for a sale at my local fabric store before I cover it. So I’ll maybe spend $5 on it!

Now, if only I could make my own shoes — kidding. Well, sort of.
