This has nothing to do with saving, but I’m always struck by the same question when I hear either song on the radio:
How the heck did Chicago get away with stealing the bass line for “25 or 6 to 4” from The Beatles’ “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”? The chord progression is almost exactly the same…
There’s only 2 years in between the release of both songs, too.
