Click click, click click…

That’s the constant blinker noise my car has been making for a week now, almost nonstop. And with a 30-45 minute commute, I’m ready to tear my hair out.

The noise doesn’t occur when the blinker is actually in use — it’s a really fast clicking that happens AFTER the blinker shuts off.

My research has turned up two main causes — there’s a wire touching a metal panel, causing it to go haywire, or the entire multifunction switch needs to be replaced. That’s the difference between $50 and possibly $400-plus.

I’m convinced the car knew it turned 5 years old two weeks ago and is playing a mean trick on me!
