Got a text from my honey on Friday night, asking me if I did anything to the TV that morning. My first thought was “Oh, boy” — because he loves television, maybe even more than me or the cat!
Turns out we had no cable or Internet service, again, just like in November when I saw some guy go up the telephone pole and disconnect us. Only this time, I wasn’t home to see it for myself.
Over the course of 4-5 phone calls, Mr. Saver tried every tack to get COMCRAP to get a technician out earlier than the Saturday 5-7 p.m. window we were given, to no avail. “The NFL Draft is on, you’ve gotta get our service back by then!”
Finally, the tech calls at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and tells me he’ll be at our house in 20 minutes. Ooooh, 10 minutes early. Thanks, COMCAST.
He climbs up our pole (sounds dirty, sorry) and discovers that somehow, our service had been disconnected AGAIN. He hooks us back up and labels the line. Apparently, COMCRAP does audits sometimes and will disconnect those lines that aren’t properly labeled.
Now tell me, why the hell would this happen TWICE in 6 months? It’s total BS and beyond aggravating. If I didn’t think we’d be moving by the end of the year, I’d go right to Verizon FIOS! We’ve had nothing but aggravation when it comes to COMCAST. How much worse could FIOS be?
